Dr Aimee Achilleos is a physical geographer, whose work looks at understanding uncertainties in ocean carbon sinks, with a particular focus on ocean alkalinity and air-sea gas exchange. Her PhD research identified gaps in ocean carbon modelling and validates biogeochemical data from autonomous ocean observation platforms.
Before finishing her doctorate, she was a a project manager at the Defence Science Technology Laboratory, working on signal processing and data sciences projects.
Education
University of Exeter, PhD candidate in Physical Geography looking at uncertainties in marine carbon sink estimates
University of Southampton, MSci in Oceanography
Research associations
PhD Researcher, Royal Geographical Society
