Dr Nathan Sutemire is a materials engineer specialising in sustainable technologies, with expertise in sustainable fuels and carbon removal solutions. His industrial doctoral research focused on advanced nanomaterials and metallic composites, designed to support the decarbonisation of the aviation sector.
Before joining BeZero, Nathan worked as a performance engineer in the sustainable fuels sector, where he contributed to the development of sustainable aviation fuels (SAF) and led the evaluation and integration of direct air capture technologies. He coordinated chemistry and process engineering initiatives and collaborated with industry partners to scale the production of carbon-neutral synthetic fuels.
