Dr Ying Zheng is a physical geographer whose work looks at sustainability and climate change, with particular focus on carbon cycling and GHG emissions in natural sector. Her PhD and post-doctoral research explored the anthropogenic impacts of human society development on carbon emissions from natural environment.

Before joining BeZero Carbon, Ying was leading a carbon monitoring project across three major Asian delta regions, as part of a larger research programme to develop solutions for sustainable delta ecosystems in Bangladesh, India and Vietnam.
