BeZero review of US IFM project ratings
BeZero has published a full review of ratings for US-based Improved Forest Management (IFM) projects, alongside five new ratings.
Our review resulted in downgrades to eight ratings, driven by increased confidence in our previously stated views of unrealistic harvesting baselines.
Newly assigned ratings included an ‘A’, our highest ever ex post rating in US IFM.
In our ex ante ratings, we see a next generation of US IFM projects, some with novel approaches to design and implementation. However, considerable variability persists, highlighting the ongoing need for project-based ratings.
